Does a higher cover mean preferential treatment in case of hospitalization & claim?

No, a higher cover does not mean preferential treatment. Apollo Munich does not differentiate among its clients on the basis of coverage limit.

Each client gets quality treatment in our network hospitals, regardless of the plan opted and coverage limit. The coverage limit is a maximum amount that a Health Insurance Company can pay to its beneficiaries. It is related to the cost of treatment paid but not to the quality of treatment.

  1. It is good to hear that the policy from Apollo Munich does not have any biases on the basis of how much you pay them. Many companies have special customers (generally the ones who pay a higher premium) who get special treatment and extra medical facilities.

The fact that Apollo Munich does not do that again shows me a more straightforward method of working. You pay more you get more cover, it does not affect the treatment and all in any other way.

  3. Hospital staff never see your sum insured amount before providing treatment to patient. they just share the treatment amount. rest is up to the patient or the provider.
